This oil thing really has me pissed!
Today we can pin a staple to fly from a satellite! We can not clamp a pipe? My family has enjoyed the beaches of Destin and Panama City for over 20 years now. Because of this I am going to have to move away? At least there is a nice apology from the BP folks on the radio every ten minutes! Just ranting today.

Why do we need tourist?
It's a funny thing down here in the gulf of Florida. Our hospitality and entertainment industry thrive for 8 months and starve for 4! We often are so wore out by Labor day that we just melt the hell down.
After October is gone we are officially broke! It's then time to win the loyalty of our favorite snow bird types. A game of who can best reinvent "Cacoon". We have to brain wash our staff to cater to the needs of the snow bird. It is a difficult task to stir it up and make it happen when the tips coming in are not 15% but more like 3%.
Preach it's better than nothing and remember in just a few more months you will have more work than you even want to handle.
So, it's feast or famine down here. So be it. We are just a week away right now. I am going to work just as hard as ever. I will watch this goat rope as the staff gets tweeked and frazzled. I will calm them down and coach them like I do every year. It's almost entertainment now for me.
